Iran has been a member of World heritage sites since 1978m with 21 sites already registered and 57 sites are tentative candidates.

Many great monuments in Iran are inscribed as world heritage sites by unesco, among these are the architecturally unique Ziggurat of Tchogh zanbil, the jewel in the crown of the 2nd millennium BC, the spectacular Persepolis; Pasargadae the first capital of ancient Persia and the resting place of Cyrus the Great, Takht- e- Soleyman the world famous 6th centurey BC. rock relief of Bisotoun portraying the Achaemnid king Darius

Tehran  Zanjan Tabriz Makou Kandovan  Takab Takhte – Soleyman -Kermanshah-Ahwaz-Tchogha Zanbil-Susa-Shiraz Kerman Zeinodin Yazd Isfahan  Kashan-IKIA departure

Day 01: Arrive Tehran

Day 02:  Tehran visit to some of Tehran’s major museums to include Iran’s National Museum , Glass & Ceramics Museum; and the Carpet Museum, O/N Hotel

Day 03: Tehran –Zanjan-Tabriz Transfer to Qazwin to visit the Seljuq period Jame’ mosque, Soltaniyeh monument which is the tomb of Uljaitu the mongol king in 13th century in the afternoon, and continue to Tabriz, check in hotel.

Day 04:  Tabriz-Makou-Tabriz  A visit to Blue Mosque and excursion to drive to Maku to visit Black Church , O/N hotel

Day 05: Tabriz-Kandovan-Takab

Drive to Takab via Kandovan.

Day 06: Takab-Takhte Soleiman – Kermanshah Takab to visit the Sassanid citadel and the main holy fire temple in

Takht-e Soleyman, on in the scenic valley of Zagross mountain

ranges , then continue to Kermanshah, check in hotel, overnight.

Day 07: Kermanshah- Ahwaz Morning Visit Taghe Bostan and Takkieh Mo’aven ol-Molk, Drive to Ahwaz.

Day 08: Ahwaz-Chogha Zanbil-Ahwaz , SUSA Full-day excursion to Chogha-Zanbil, to visit the ziggurat built by Untash Gal, King of Elam, about 1250 B.C, plus the nearby Tomb of Biblical Prophet Daniel; O/N Hotel

Day 09: Ahwaz-Shiraz Drive to Shiraz, en-route visit

Bishapur, remains of the Sassanian city built by Shapur 1st (241-

273 A.D.), there are also six Sassanian rock/reliefs at Tang-e- Chogan, commemorating Shapur’s victories over the Romans and other adversaries; overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10:  SHIRAZ Full day city tour of Shiraz to visit the Eram Garden, the tomb of Iran’s greatest lyric poets, Hafez or Sa’adi; the pink tiled 19th-century Nasir-ol-Molk Mosque, the Arg-e- Karim Khan (18th-century citadel), the Madrassa Khan (Theological School), to have interaction with teachers and students, the Qajar-period Narenjestan Garden/House, the Vakil Bazaar of Shiraz (Bazaar is closed on Fridays), and the Holy Shrine of Shah-e-Cheragh overnight stay at hotel

Day 11: Shiraz- Perspolis-Shiraz, Full day excursion to Persepolis, one of the most important sites of the Ancient World; also visit Naghsh-e-Rostam , drive a further 70 Km to Pasargadae, pre-dating Persepolis, site

of the simple, but impressive, tomb of Cyrus the Great, the

Founder of the Persian Empire, return to Shiraz

Day 12:  Shiraz-Kerman

rive to Kerman, en-route visit the remains of the Sassanian Palace

at Sarvestan,O/N Hotel

Day 13: Kerman- Rayan -Mahahn   Full day excursion to the village of Rayen to visit the Arg, Shah Nematollah-e-Vali, the great 14th century Sufi Leader, and the Shahzadeh Garden (late 19th century Qajar-period garden/house); O/N

Day 14:  Kerman-Zeinoldin Half day visits in Kerman to see Ganj-Ali-Khan Complex (17th century Safavid period bathhouse, bazaar, and caravanserai), the Hammam-e-Vakil; another 18th century bathhouse turned into a traditional teahouse/restaurant, and the 14th century Friday Mosque; afternoon drive to Zein-ed-Din Caravanserai, dating from the Safavid period; overnight stay at Caravansarray

Day 15:  Zeinoddin -Yazd visit Towers of Silence

(Dakhma), dating back to the 17th century, where until some 40-

50 years ago the dead were carried and left to decompose and be devoured by birds; and  Amir Chakhmagh , O/N Hotel

Day 16: Yazd- Isfahan Visit the active Zoroastrian Fire Temple, Ziaieyeh Theological School, known as Zendan-e- Eskander or Alexander’s Prison. Dowlat-Abad Garden, continue the drive to Isfahan , overnight

Day 17: Isfahan  Full day tour of the beautiful city of Isfahan, to visit the famous bridges of Shahrestan/Khajou/Sio-se-pol, the Armenian Quarter, the Maidan-e-Naghsh-e-Jahan, with several sites the Ali-Qapu Palace ,the Sheikh Lotfollah and the Imam ,and Qeisarieh Bazaar with hundreds of shops displaying the arts and handicrafts for which Isfahan is world-famous (Bazaar is closed on Fridays); overnight  

Day 18: Isfahan  Further visits in Isfahan to include the magnificent Friday Mosque, the Chehel Sotun Palace, Hasht Behesht pavilion. O/N

Day 19: Isfahan-Abyaneh-Kashan Morning drive to Tehran, en-route stop over at Kashan to visit the historical garden of Fin, You will also visit a fine example of a 19th century merchant residence known as Taba-Tabai House with its beautiful stucco dome and inlaid mirror work, continue to Tehran, transfer to hotel , overnight stay.

Day 20:  Tehran , Free on your own,O/N Hotel

Day 21:  Departure
