Day 01: Arrival Tehran
Day 02: Tehran- Ahwaz After breakfast, we will visit Archaeological & Islamic Art Museum, the finest museum in Iran where we will view a collection of ancient Persian civilization. In the evening fly to Ahwaz, transfer to hotel and rest. O/N
Day 3: Ahwaz, Excursion to Susa and Chogha Zanbil to visit Shush, ancient Susa, former Elamite and Achaemeneid capital
Day 04: Ahwaz-Shiraz Drive to Shiraz via Bishapour , Shiraz, 100 miles from the Persian Gulf, is the provincial capital of Fars, the southern region of Iran, where Farsi, the Persian language, originated.
Day 05: Shiraz- Firuzabad There are an estimated one million nomads with some ninety-six independent tribes and 547 clans; the largest concentration of which can be found in the western part of the country, from Firuzabad in the province of Fars, to the mountains and valleys of the province of Kuzhestan. Day 06: Shiraz –Perspolise-Shiraz Today is a highlight of the trip; the tremendously rich archeological site of Persepolis. Day 07: Shiraz- Yasuj We head north into the central ZagrosMountains which follow Iran’s western border from Turkey down to the Persian Gulf. Tribes like the Bakhtiyari, Kurds and Lor have inhabited these mountains and valleys for centuries
Day 08: Yasuj- Kuhrang We continue our spectacular drive along mountain roads today as we near the summer settlements of the Bakhtiyari. Along the way, we pass small villages, and wind our way around steep sided valleys and fast flowing rivers.
Day 09 Kuhrang Today will be spent visiting the summer settlements of the Bakhtiyaris.
Day 10: Kuhrang-Isfahan We head out of the mountains today, continuing just over 100 miles north to Isfahan.
Day 11: Isfahan Our explorations will begin with the city’s heart, the Naqsh-e Jahan or Imam Square. A polo field during the Safavid era,
Day 12: Isfahan We will visit the nearby Hasht Behesht Palace, a royal residence of Shah Suleiman (1669). Its fame, apart from its architectural and decorative merits,wall paintings and stunning mirrorwork. Continue to Chehel Sotun (Forty-Column)
Day 13: Isfahan-Kashan-Tehran Drive to Tehran with several stops en route. Our first stop will be Kashan, which sits at just under 3000 feet, enclosed by desert to the north and the east, and mountains to the west and the south.
Day 14: Departure
